An Invitation to Diamond Lake
(See Schedule Below)
You are invited to attend the Annual Diamond Lake Seminar and participate in what has become one of Oregon's most enjoyable educational opportunities. Diamond Lake's pristine beauty creates a relaxing backdrop where radiographers can receive continuing education, and enjoy the surrounding area with family or friends. The seminar is sponsored by the Oregon Society of Radiologic Technologists, offering top-notch education on meaningful topics.
Participants will have the option of registering for either
eight hours or twelve hours of continuing education. As requested by past
attendees, we are making it possible to get an entire year's CE requirements in
one weekend, in a very cost effective opportunity. The registration costs
include Saturday breakfast and lunch for the eight hour registrants, and for the
twelve hour option Sunday breakfast is also included. Dinner will be on your
own. The resort coffee shop serves dinner, or there is pizza parlor at the south
end of the lake.
In case you have not traveled to Diamond lake before, you will find it tucked away in the Cascade Mountains, just a few miles north of the entrance to Crater Lake. It is known for its great scenery and fishing. Hiking and biking trails almost surround the lake, and the lodge rents bicycles as well as canoes, boats, and paddleboats. You can see there is plenty for your family to do while you are attending the lectures. Diamond Lake is located 58 miles east of Roseburg on Hwy. 138. It can be reached from Bend via Hwy. 97 or from Eugene by way of Hwy. 58 which connect with 97. If you are coming from the Medford area you will reach the lake via Hwy. 62/230. There are three Forest Service campgrounds without full hookups on the lake. They are "first come-first served", but in September, finding a campsite is not a problem. There is a private campground with full hookups adjacent to the lake.
Reservations should be made ASAP if you plan to stay at
the Diamond Lake Resort.
The resort has both motel rooms and cabins
available, and they are reserving these for seminar registrants until August
31st. The toll free telephone number is 1-800-733-7593, and be sure to
identify yourself as a seminar participant when calling.
