Student Leadership Development Program

The ASRT Student Leadership Development Program offers multiple students a chance to get to know the ASRT and OSRT, attend educational sessions and network with medical imaging professionals.

Selected participants will attend the 2017 ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting in Orlando, Florida on June 22-25, 2017, as well as orientation the evening of June 21^st.  

Participants receive:

•  Airfare, housing, a stipend for meals and other travel expenses.
• An educational program designed just for students.
• A professional mentor assigned for the meeting.
• An insider's look into the largest association for medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals.
• An opportunity to work closely with OSRT board members in the future.

Contest Rules

*In order to be eligible you must be a student member of OSRT and ASRT at the time of submission*

How to Apply: 

1. Complete the online forms or mail in application and additional materials by December 19th.

2.  Submit a 500-750 word essay answering the following two questions:

• How does active participation in professional organizations enhance the Radiologic Technologist?

• How would you grow professionally from your participation in the Student Leadership Development Program?

• 1 from your program director, which includes a statement that you have your program director's approval to attend the 2017 ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, June 22-24, in Orlando, Florida.

• 1 from your primary clinical instructor or a faculty member.
